What subjects do we teach?
English as a Second Language
Learning the rules of grammar, speaking fluency and writing accuracy, with a particular focus on using English instinctively and without fear of making mistakes.
Secondary English
Covering all areas of the Key Stage 3 and 4 curriculum (years 7-11), with a focus on preparation for GCSE exams. We also teach A Level literature. We cater for all exam boards, and are capable of teaching for IGCSE.

About our company
Ben Aizenberg was an English teacher for nine years both in London and Sussex. He trained at the prestigious UCL Institute of Education in London, widely known as the number one ranking teacher training provider in the world. After working at an OFSTED Outstanding comprehensive secondary school in Haringey for six years, he then moved to Sussex to begin working as an English teacher in the Independent sector, achieving top results for his students and seeing several of them go on to study English at Oxford and Cambridge. It was then that he decided to explore different ways to educate students. He set up South Downs Tutors in 2023.
